It's not every day your baby turns 7: and with each passing day we find something new and awesome to love about our Mity team.
Oh, but first things first, remember that any time you see "mity", say it as "mighty" - it all makes so much more sense that way.
Do you remember yourself as a kid? And what you wanted to be when you grew up? We got our team to throw themselves back to their younger selves, pushing the party favourites of Fairy Bread and Jelly Watermelon slices to the side, and asking them to think back to think in to the future with one key question: what did you want to be when you grew up?
Marty is one of Mity's co-founders, and loves nothing more than burying himself in code: he's happy as that proverbial pig.
Why is Marty so Mity?
A man of many talents, Marty's skillset caters to both back end development, and also usable and accessible front end development. When Mity needs something magic to happen, Marty has the code to make it go "whiz bang kapow". In a good way. Mix this with his photography, writing and technical organisation, he's a mighty strong asset to the team.
When he grows up, Marty wants to be...
A train driver. He has no idea where that came from but was fascinated by trains and train tracks, but equally terrified: steam trains are really loud! (he says, at least).
Michael is Mity's other co-founder, and heads our Arts and Crafts division. That's just a fun way of saying he builds websites.
Why is Michael so Mity?
Organised and efficient, Michael makes sure the Mity steam train is moving in the right direction. Michael is core to so many of Mity's projects, with his Statamic website skills on show every day. Has he told you yet he loves Statamic? Ask him, he'll tell you too. Without Michael, the Mity wagons wouldn't be as slick and streamlined as they are: he's integral to our admin and back office management.
When he grows up, Michael wants to be...
An electrician. He says he loved to pull things apart to see how things worked. Like the time he pulled apart a toy to get its motor out, hard-wire it to the mains power, and have it instantaneously blow up.
Matt is Mity's pixel pusher. That's just a fun way of saying 'graphic designer' because pixels sound so much cuter. "OMG look at those cute widdle pixels over there!"
Why is Matt so Mity?
With his digital brush, Matt loves nothing more than waving his wand around, and with his flair for creativity, brand development, logo logistics and all things gorgeous, he's our graphic designer that just loves showing those pixels who is boss. Whether it is for the web or print, Matt's a bossy one, aligning, planning, painting and perfecting every detail.
When he grows up, Matt wants to be...
An architect. When younger, Matt loved building Lego buildings, and when he discovered CAD, got stuck in to doing full CAD floorplans and elevations for fun. He still has around 100 designs too. Maybe he'll bring them to Show and Tell next time?
Want to have some cake with us? We'd love to catch up, have a chat about how our web design and development team can help you and your business - contact us to book a time! Just a side note, we may also ask you what you wanted to be when you grew up too. I hope it's a good one!
